New Eritrean Film: Conversations with Martyrs
A new Eritrean Film featuring Fuad Alamin (the star of Tmali and many celebrated Eritrean films) and Solomon Fecadu.
Arbi Harnet is pleased to announce the inauguration of a very touching portrayal of the plight of Eritreans and particularly the Lampedusa disaster in October 2013, from the perspectives of those who were martyred during the liberation struggle and at the border conflict.
The film which is a collaborative venture between Arbi Harnet and REC Film Production, features renowned Eritrean artists: Fuad Alamin, Michael Embaye, Solomon Fecadu, Semhar Girmay, Samson T Berhan and others and was written and directed by Fuad Alamin, with music and lyrics from Michael Embaye.
The film will be premiered in Addis (where all the cast are currently in exile) and will be available to diaspora audience too. Arbi Harnet will work with its teams inside the country to distribute the film to audiences in Eritrea.
The film is a tribute to the brutal sacrifice that young Eritreans are paying in search of justice and freedom. Arbi Harnet thanks all those who took part and particularly the artists, production team as well as those who organised the financial backing for the project.
