Wherever you are, we hope that you and your loved ones are in a good health and in peace.

We welcome you to join us in our “Eritrean Intellectual Lecture Series Discussion” this Saturday evening at paltalk. We are honored to present you Mr. Yosief Ghebrehiwet from California: a prolific writer, an active critic and an activist. Over the years Mr. Yosief among other things has written many essays, analysis and recently he has written about sanction, opposition & politics, and Romanticizing Ghedli. Mr. Yosief has been active and committed to a more humane Eritrea, for justice and freedom in Eritrea. Mr. Yosife educational back ground is in philosophy and psychology.

Mr. Yosief will briefly introduce himself and his background, and among other things he will discuss the agendas shown below and Q&A session will follow after his presentation.

        1) “Saving the People” (Midhan Hizbi), as opposed to “Saving the Nation” (Midhan Hager) – the notion of a “nation” that exists above and over the people and that is behind the tragedy unfolding in Eritrea.

       4) The question of identity vis a vis the question existence, “Nay Meninet Hito” vis a vis “Nay Minbaren Zeyminbaren Hito”; what is our priority?

       3) Is there any way out to the mess we find ourselves in? What opportunities does the sanction offer? And are there any long range solutions to our predicament?

       4) Any questions on Romanticizing Ghedli or any other topics that he has covered in his writings are also welcome.
